You are such a great advocate for your son! I am a graduate student at the College of St. Rose, which seems to have a very strong fluency program. I recently transfered from another graduate in which the fluency program was very weak. I left my fluency classes, my brain packed with all of the theories, but I had no idea how to actually give therapy to a person who stuttered. I was so discouraged, but can you imagine how my clients would feel if I tried to treat them with my very basic knowledge of stuttering? I am so glad that I transfered to a school that prepares you for the real world, and real clients...some teachers just prepare you to pass the tests. Good luck to you and your son!
