This paper was written with a sincerity that is refreshing. Although it was difficult at times to read how frustated and upset Ms. Holte became, it was good to see how she channeled her frustration into something more positive by becoming more educated about certain issues regarding stuttering. It was also positive how she mentioned that it is important to appropriately refer if one is not sure how to work with a person who stutters. Ms. Holte's honesty with regards to how her child was worked with will no doubt ring true for other parents of children who stutter. It is a well written paper from the perspective of a concerned parent who wants the best for her child.
