Anita, you're right! Although we are not to blame for our stuttering, we are to blame if we let it take over our lives. No one places as much importance on our stuttering as we do, and we give it far too much credit for preventing us from growing. Interestingly enough, the populations of the world are mixing. Many, many people are immigrating to a new country and a new language. Sometimes it seems that no one today speaks the language fluently, many people speak with an accent. We would do well to think of our stuttering as "merely an accent." We can lessen stuttering's impact on our lives by removing its importance. Fuhgeddaboutit!
