Hi Retz, Issues like shame and other social and personality issues ought to be part of therapy. SLPs needn't be psychoanalysts but they ought to know counseling tools. Stutterers are not specifically neurotic, but those of us not psychologically affected by our stuttering are probably crazy (-: Marty
