I like your idea: feeling ashmed was not born so, but acquired! From this point of view, I think educating public is really necessary and helpful! I think a program of educating public to have correct attitudes toward the people with any kind of disabilities or deficiencies is called for now. In my opinion, this is also a mark of civilization.
