I think that a great way to help older children who stutter become more confident in themselves as a speaker and a person in general would be to have them research the life of one of these famous PWS. If the child likes sports, they could learn about Bo Jackson or Bob Love. If they like the Star Wars Trilogy, they could learn about James Earl Jones. By making a list of their achievements and contributions to society, children who stutter will be able to see that even people like them can make a huge difference in our world.
