I think it's simply helpful to read stories of people's struggles and triumphs and find that ordinary human beings can rise above difficult circumstances with stuttering. As a future speech clinician who is mildly disfluent at times, especially in public speaking, I honestly don't know what it's like to have a chronic stutter. My sentiments about "dealing with it" will ring pretty hollow on the ears of someone who has to deal with stuttering every day. These stories are of real people who have "been there, done that." Their stories deserve attention and consideration. Thanks MSU-Mankato students for providing this rich resource.
