Hi, Maggie. I am glad that you are interested in our training concept. I’ve never touched Communications Sciences and Disorders as a course, but I sometimes wonder whether this subject has entered into any misled categories. We believe that the stutterers are not different with others in almost every aspect, including speaking abilities. What they lack are only their beliefs in their speaking habits and abilities. In CSD, almost all the researchers adopt the pathological approach, which might do no good to stutterers’ minds. Of course, that’s just my thought on this. Actually, there have been few reactions from the scientific community. But with the development of this SBT both in theory and practice, I believe that it will lead more and more stutterers into the right path towards the fluency shaping. Yes, we have conducted some follow up research on the individuals with good effects, they have become more and more in the stage of their lives.
