Ken, I thought I was clear. It is a mystery to me why brain imaging with stutterers (including the speech/language part of the brain) returns to normal when that person is NOT suttering. I am questioning the 'why' and how that relates to phonological disorders..or linguistic, for that matter. IF a stutterer is, per J. Ingham, talking to himself (inside his brain...not aloud to himself) then the scans return to 'normal', I wonder what that means when we try to connect other problems WITH stuttering. Just maybe they are separate. I did not discuss any device, as you put in your reply. I am not sold on any method or technology; I am open to any new and credible information that would help stutterers. This is not about ME, my questions are for my clients! Thanks! Janet
