Hi Linnea: If the intervention is flexible, natural and holistic enough -- as I think the Integrated Approach of FSI and MSI is -- it should be sufficiently adaptable for the person to apply it when working through a relapse. In this case -- especially if the client has been away from therapy for a while -- the clinician would be more of an advisor or consultant, offering suggestions for re-applying techniques from previous therapy. Relapse can actually be an important change opportunity for the person who stutters. No need to panic. When he/she works through this relapse, think of the confidence boost that would provide for the future. Thanks for your question, which is an important one. - Darrell
