Hi John, thanks so much for contributing your beautiful article and congratulations on your "coming out." I am the mom of an 8-year who stutters. This may sound awful, but I sometimes think I'd wish any other affliction on him rather than this one that so impedes his ability to communicate. Your school stories make me so grateful to be able to homeschool. His buddies don't even notice anymore (and he's quite severe). I wish for you lots of great buddies and all the best in your new-found freedom! Any advice for a mom in the midst?
