I see what you're saying, that kind of "big deal" would not be at all helpful! I think we're doing ok along those lines, but it's still hard to know how far to take things -- if we tell him it's not a big deal, and then spend significant energy on taking him to therapy and support groups, well, what message are we sending him? I struggle with that. I guess it's called being a parent! Again, thanks so much. I loved hearing how you dealt with your recent public speaking engagement. I'm not kidding when I say it sort of took my breath away. I could just feel the sense of freedom and empowerment you must have felt. I don't know what sort of award you were getting, but I think you deserved a greater one for that move! Amazing! Congratulations!!
