Thanks for the congrats, Dori. It's not *that* amazing, because I was a teacher for years and had to do a lot of public speaking - but reading my own fiction at a posh London do did worry me, I must admit. One of the many odd things about stuttering: when I was teaching I remember delivering a twenty-minute talk in front of the whole school. No problem at all, no sign of a stammer or a stutter. But after my delivery I had a free lesson, so I went to a shop near the school to buy a few odds and end - and I was blocked on one of the items I wanted! It's such an odd affliction. It often seems to be context-specific (at least in my case). (John)
