Mr. Ravenscroft, I was really moved upon reading your paper. I am currently a SLP student at Kean University and found your story very touching. When you wrote that on your ninth birthday, stuttering made you feel like “life wasn’t worth living”, I felt compelled to respond to you. No matter how much knowledge I obtain, I will never know the how difficult life could be for an individual who stutters. Thank you for sharing such a beautifully written and touching story.
