Hello Dori, There are some recent review articles regarding brain activity and stuttering in adults. I’ve listed two below. Also, I have listed a review article from the Public Library of Science, “What causes stuttering?” that you can access from the Internet. I’ve written a short book on stuttering for the University Press of Mississippi that has a chapter on the biology of stuttering. I can send you the chapter or a copy of the book if you like. If so, send your contact info to nlavid@nathanlavidmd.com. Best of luck with your book, Nathan Lavid, M.D. Alm P. Stuttering and the basal ganglia circuits: a critical review of possible relations.
