Hey Chris! ------------------- Somehow I think I've heard most of that before! Ha, ha, ha!! Great job anyway! I'm glad that other people have gotten a chance to read what you've been preaching to us over the years. Really good stuff!! ------------------- One particular sentence in your article that I really liked: "Don't disclose your stuttering - disclose what you do WITH your stuttering." YES! I really like that! I'm gonna have to steal that line myself! <grin> ------------------- We - you or I - need to write a paper next year called "The Smell of Fear." That's exactly what we're seeing here. Animals can smell fear, and interviewers can smell fear, too - the fear and lack of confidence which some stutterers exude when talking with some people while they desperately try to HIDE the fact they stutter. It's not the stuttering that hurts them, it's that smell of fear! ------------------- We GOTTA do lunch some day pretty soon! It's been forever! I'd send you a private email, but I thought I'd embarrass you in an international forum to force you to accept! Ha, ha, ha!!! See ya soon - I hope! TONS to talk about! ------------------- Gig 'em! --- Russ, RussHicks@mail.com, Dallas, Texas, 972-881-1451 home, 972-489-6169 cell, My home page: http://www.RussHicks.com NSA home page: http://www.WeStutter.org
