Vickie, Thanks for your note! You're right in that we need to constantly reinforce to young people about to enter the transition into adulthood that despite stuttering, there are SO, SO, SO many things that they can control. The things we touched on such as preparing, being polished, positive, eye-contact, etc. are things that will separate them from those who don't - both fluent and disfluent people! Always reinforce that they have choices to jump into the fray and be counted or sit back on the sideline and watch. Won't always stop the teasing, the ridicule and the false stereotyping of our particular challenge, but it will always provide for a softer pillow to sleep on each night -- knowing that they did their best and kept moving forward with the choices they had. Good luck with your work and thanks again. Chris
