I am a second year graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP). I enjoyed the personable quality of your article and your openness in sharing your feelings as a child who stuttered. I agree that education is the key to help others learn about and accept other people. By sharing your article, I think that more parents and educators will focus on the “child” part of the phrase “child that stutters” than the “stutter” part. I wanted to know if you have provided training sessions with SLPs who work directly with children that stutter? Also, what advice would you give to SLPs who work with children that stutter?
