First and foremost, my favorite baseball team is the Cubs. I'm trying to get over the reality that they are not in the playoffs :(. David, I found your comments very motivational as a clinician. I am currently a graduate student in speech-language pathology. I wish I could have been that clinician for you and told you that we can control your stuttering together. It saddens me to hear that some clinicians gave up on you. Shame on them! You're absolutely right---challenges, such as stuttering, do not seem as overwhelming when one has a great support network. People who stutter can accomplish great things and I wish this message resonated with you as a child.
