Hi Cathy,I am so glad that my story had a positive impact on you. You are asking good questions. As with most things in life, our growth and development are gradual and unfolding processes. However, indeed there were times, perhaps critical moments, when I did make concrete decisions to change my life in specific and tangible ways. I have come to learn that those times of greatest challenge create opportunities for the best and most constructive lessons. What am I doing now? I am living a life that, at one time, I could not have even imagined possible. I am absolutely blessed with the most beautiful family. We laugh and we are happy. I have been a SLP for 27 years and it is my pleasure to be a part of helping others change their own communication worlds. I am hopeful that, in a small way, such efforts are steps, maybe baby steps, toward improved communication on a more global level, maybe leading toward world peace.
