Carla, Thank you for sharing your perspectives on the paper. Your comment that "... often ... the one who is helped most is the therapist" reminds me of the last line I remember hearing in the movie, "Seabiscuit." Toby McGuire as Red Pollard, the jockey who experienced incredible physical and emotional pain, states words to the effect that, "People think we found a beat-up horse and fixed him. But the truth is it was he who fixed us up, every one of us." That's what relationships have the potential of doing, including ones where we assume the role of helper.
