Dear Rhonda, I don't know if I would regard myself as an "expert" on cluttering, but thank you. Interestingly, two years ago, eight scientists got together at the ASHA Convention to talk about "Putting Cluttering on the Map." These individuals were: Klaas Bakker, Larry Raphael, Florence Myers, David Daly, Elisabeth Wiig, Jack Katz, Ray Kent, and me. With cluttering, we are at the point where scientists are seriously beginning to do some research. The conventional wisdom has not moved us very far in the past 40 years (e.g., since Deso Weiss's book). The other new development, within the past year, is that there is now a Yahoo group devoted to discussions about cluttering. Overall, however, cluttering is far, far behind stuttering. I know that cluttering has been more widely known in Europe than in the US, but I think that is changing. From what I have seen, there is not near enough solid research on cluttering anywhere yet. Thanks for your question. Ken
