It was interesting to read how International Stuttering Awareness Day was started (ISAD). It's inspiring to read how people truly cared and wanted others to be more aware and educated regarding people who stutter and issues concerning stuttering. The purpose of ISAD, as stated in this paper, is very admirable and seems to be reaching and working many; including people who stutter, parents of children who stutter, SLPs, and teachers. It is amazing how people from literally all around the world get together and unite for the common prupose of issues regarding stuttering and making people aware and providing support regarding stuttering. Also this paper provided a good, detailed outline/calander of events including events that occurred during 2004.
