Jodi, Thanks for writing. Sure there are many ways for kids to share info with friends and peers. Kids leave our conventions so excited and empowered that they share these new experiences with friends, they all begin emailing each other and we ahve kids/teens who bring their friends from home to the next convention..to meet all their new friends. It is amazing to watch the interactions. Kids can also be encouraged to bring friends to regional one day workshops. They all have fun together and the stuttering becomes more accepted by all. Another way to share info is through classroom presentations. Bill Murphy has presented on this for years. Kids can teach their peers about stuttering, all in a fun environment, and again the stuttering becomes more accepted. You can check Friends web for info on free presentation materials.
