Hi Carla Thank you for your comments! Denial is a poweful thing, and I'm not sure what to suggest when it's both the parents and the children that deny bullying goes on. It may well be true, some kids who stutter do escape the torment of being bullied. However many parents take the stance that "it could never happen to me or my child". Perhaps the best thing you can do is simply to educate them, rather than suggesting they are denying bullying is taking place, just let them know what it means, when it is not talked about or its existence is denied... for me, that was the most harmful thing - not having anyone to talk to. Feel free to use my article to try and educate others. Above all, I'm sure when a child is bullied, they might feel like they can talk to you about it instead of their parents, and I'm so glad you'll be receptive to it if they do. All the best Gina
