Hi Jenny You asked what I thought parents could do to stop their child becoming a bully. Well, a general idea is that kids who are bullied sometimes go on to be bullies themselves. I never did, so I'm not sure how true this is. I would guess a child who bullies others knows that it is wrong and will therefore hide it from their parents. Many parents only find out their child is a bully when they are contacted by the school. I know we teach our kids manners, social skills and respect for others, but for some, the attraction of having power over others is irresistable. The only thing I can think of would be for every parent to emphasise that it's wrong to bully others. We are always focussing on parents telling their kids about being a victim... as you rightly suggest, maybe we should educate our kids on how wrong it is to be in the role of the bully. Something to consider for the future. Thanks again, Gina
