Hi Gina. I am Pablo from Spain. I have read your article "Wall of silence" wich I found very emotive. I agree with you in the need to stop bullying wherever it is. I also agree with you that it is a difficult task. I give an example. Some time ago, we gave a speech in a local school, here in Spain, about stuttering. We were told that three of the pupils stuttered. We talked about stuttering and the need to be aware and respect diferences. When the speech ended, a mother came to us with her child and told us that the boy "was not a stutterer, like us, he just got nervous at speaking sometimes..." What she told us revealed to me that she had not paid atention to anything we said. It seems to me that there is a need to think that "everything is allright with my child. Nothing canīt be wrong" This, I think, is one of the bricks of the wall of silence. Thank you very much for your great article, Gina. Pablo. Spain.
