Hi John. Once again thank you for your comments - they both enlighten and sadden me at the state of modern schools and the pupils who attend them. You are right, some bullies are impossible to reach, so perhaps it's impossible to prevent them from bullying others. However, if the teachers became aware that bullying was occuring, and introduced a zero tolerance policy (as is the case in some schools in the UK), at least the bully could be removed/suspended from the school and therefore is no longer a threat to the victim. Though of course, bullying goes on at home, in the streets where kids play, and a myriad of other places. How to prevent that kind of bullying is a mystery I have yet to solve! All the best, Gina.
