Hi Lauren, thank you for your comments and your question. I don't think there's any prescribed way to make a child 'open up', but the trust has to be there. I think if I felt I had someone to talk to, I would have done. Just being there, and being understanding and receptive, is often enough. All the best to you! - Gina
