Even in the USA, I feel that there is still a lack of knowledge and acceptance among the general public regarding stuttering. It is the responsibility of the professionals to increase the awareness and acceptance, as impossible as it may seem. It sounds like there has been a great amount of growth in China over the past few years in terms of treatment. I am curious as to the amount of continuity among the self-educated people that treat stuttering. Do most of these people learn from one another, develop their own treatments without scientific research, or attend programs outside of China?
