The drugs were primarily pain meds, and dilantin (anti-seizure). Both have the side effect of producing drowsiness. Perhaps the "calming effect" of being drugged up somehow helped my speech -- however, I'm not willing to walk around in a stupor in the hopes that I'll be more fluent. :-)
