Did you ever consider receiving therapy as an adult? >> I'm not sure -- during both incidents, it did occur to me that I was being surprisingly fluent, so I don't think I consciously "forgot" that I stutter...but maybe the "subconscious" part was too pre-occupied with what was going on, and was therefore distracted? I did have a course of speech therapy following the brain aneurysm (when I was struggling to get my speech back to a more acceptable level of fluency)...but now that things are within my tolerance, I guess I don't feel the need. I can live with a little imperfection (which is probably a good philosophy to have).
