Your story is a fascinating one. I am curious- your facial numbness, you "felt" more fluent or was it simply impossible to at least have fast speech rates due to the numbness? Or was it something more/different? In addition, if the previous experience were related to medications... that obviously (let's hope) "relaxed you"...have you considered learning some relaxation techniques? Or perhaps experimenting with drugs? (that is a joke, of course) Further, the cerebellum does not actually "control" speech... However, the brain and its processes are quite complex and integrated in a fashions I think are not completely clear for various reasons. Have you spoken to a neurologist? Have you done any research to see if there are any other individuals with similar experiences? I appreciate you sharing your story so much. It was fascinating. I am currently a graduate student in Speech Pathology (well, seeking dual certification having completed a masters in audiology)I was happy to hear your story and I wish you the best of luck.
