<<curious- your facial numbness, you "felt" more fluent or was it simply impossible to at least have fast speech rates due to the numbness?>> Good point -- maybe the slower speech rate (made necessary by the facial numbness) somehow helped. I do, however, have a fairly slow speech cadence by nature. <<have you considered learning some relaxation techniques? Or perhaps experimenting with drugs?>> Yes, and yes :-) I think relaxation is a huge component for me in terms of laying a foundation for greater fluency. <<Have you spoken to a neurologist? Have you done any research to see if there are any other individuals with similar experiences?>> Actually, I have not spoken with my neurologist about my speech (we're too busy working on all the other neurological issues) -- nor have I taken the time to do any research on similar experiences. I think it would make for a wonderful PhD topic though, don't you?
