No, it is not necessary to push in (click) individual syllables for talking time (like for example in the Stuttering Measurement System freeware program, or Computerized Scoring of Stuttering Severity, Pro-Ed, or the CHOPPER discussed at this same conference). Merely press down the left mousebutton for the perceived duration of speech. One time for each period of audible speech. Press the right mouse button in as well when cluttering is perceived as well.
