Stephanie, Great question. While I haven't seen drastic change in the people around me, I HAVE noticed that I've been judging people for so long (ie. mind-reading and guessing what they'll think about me for stuttering). It turns out that my friends, family, colleagues, whoever are all very supportive and have told me time and time again that my stuttering "isn't a big deal" and that it doesn't bother them. After hearing that over and over again, you slowly start to believe it and it helps cancel out some of the negative thoughts. -rb
