Rob, you know I know how far you have come!! Many kudos to your advocating for pws by public radio and this medium here. A wise man once told me: "stuttering is what it means to you." So, the meaning I gave it (i.e., shame, embarrassment, etc) was what motivated my avoidance, word changing, and covert operations. Humor is not consistent with my old toxic thoughts. Humor is kryptonite for fear of stuttering, isn't it? Questions: how can pws integrate more humor into: 1) handling the very moment of stuttering as and where it happens? 2) humor in general to "advertise" stuttering...to take away the stigma and change the meaning of it? Atlanta misses your presence in our support meetings. Are you making enough dough to fly in from time to time? Cheers, Tim Mackesey
