Thank you for sharing your story. I am impressed by your courage in being upfront with the stuttering behaviors, but also sharing your experience with others. I was amazed at how much thought and preparation you did to avoid stuttering (i.e., thinking of other words to use, scanning for problem-some sounds) to keep it a secret from others. I would imagine that would be equally as frustrating and time-consuming as well. As a future Speech-Language Pathologist, I will take along your experience as I help other PWS. P.S. Shame on the counselor who advised you to be a circus clown.
