Hi Emily. This is an extremely insightful question, and thanks very much for the complements on my article. There's a few reasons my article is so clear and organized, probably the hugest of which is my editor that I used for it. But, first let me tell you about the writing process with me. Weiss said that clutterers write the same way that they talk, and he shows a handwriting sample in his book. My handwriting matched his sample almost perfectly when I was younger, which was very sloppy and a bunch of stuff crossed out. For me, the computer has been a godsend. I can heavily edit, rearrange, and write in a very non-sequential order on the computer, which ultimately produces a legible finished product. Like with this post, I'm constantly rewording it. I skipped around as I wrote parts, and I've been heavily editing and rewording the whole time. Also, I'm a nearly recovered clutterer. Writing an organized article like this would have been nearly impossible for me a few years ago, and it was extremely hard for me to do now.
