Hi Beth, You've hit upon an important fact. The fact that sometimes one identical twin stutters and the other does not tells us that stuttering cannot be 100% genetic in it occurence. Identical twins share all of their genes, so some factor, probably recovery in the twin who does not stutter, is at work.
