Jane, You may recall my sharing with you my first experience with an SFA publication. My clinician at the University of Wisconsin- Madison, Florence Filley, handed me a copy of "self-Help for the Stutterer." I was in a very dark and lonely place with a severe stutter. I was dropping college classes in which oral presentation was mandatory, not using the phone, and living with a phobia of stuttering. As I read the book I gained hope and insight and for once believed I could change stuttering and my self-imposed imprisonment. Like Martha Stewart, I am free now :) I have attended many SFA continuing education offerings; including the Northwestern University Workshop. Keep up the good work. Sincerely, Tim
