In working with the adolescent population I have come across students who after having been in speech therapy for many years-usually without much success- tell me they have accepted their stuttering and it doesn't bother them anymore-They want out of speech therapy- Do you think it is possible that at this age they have truly accepted themselves as stutterers or do you think this could be denial?
