Hi Lydia, .... Yes indeed, there certainly IS more to stuttering than just the audible part. I assume you read the Iceberg ANALOGY of Stuttering at http://www.mnsu.edu/comdis/isad6/papers/hicks6.html . This MATRIX paper expands on that in terms of the DENSITY of the each iceberg which reveals the various categories of stutterers and finally suggests a differing mixture of therapies for each category. I realize this is sort of an analogy of an analogy, but it seems to make sense to me. I'm glad you enjoyed it. .... Good luck in school! .... Russ
