This is fantastic to see an article like this included in this annual conference--it may have happened before, but I haven't seen it. It's refreshing to step aside from the emotional aspect of stuttering for a minute and take a purely neurochemical view of the disorder. I'm sure the two are connected--mind and body--but it's necessary for me, anyway, to remember the neurological focus of all of this---it helps to take away the residual shame that remains no matter how far I've come as a PWS and a fluency therapist. Thank you!
