Kassie, I have used the web camera with families of children who stutter. I would not hesitate to use this technology with any client, however. Keep in mind that we do a complete evaluation prior to treatment to determine if our program is in the best interest of the child. This evaluation is completed in our clinic. We do not begin the distance work until after the family has learned the basics of our program. There are also times when we have face-to-face meetings. The web camera is not an either/or situation; it is an adjunct to the overall treatment program. Use of this technology has increased our accountability since we can correspond with the family so much easier. Thanks for your interest.
