Hello Heidi. Without doubt, my experience following the years of frustration and failures shaped what I am today. Understanding and acceptance derived from that experience made possible for me to make the positive changes in how I view my role in life and to start taking the control of it (to start changing the locus of control). Maybe if I had had the advantage of being in contact with right therapist, the things would have started to change earlier. I believe it would have helped me and possibly made things easier, but I hadn’t had such opportunity so I can’t tell for sure. Both ways are probably correct, especially if combined. Maybe Walt could say something about that...
