Hi, This is a good question. I think it would depend on what stage, what year, I would have dropped out. In the beginning I was very discouraged, and would probably have left the ministry entirely and never gone near a pulpit again. Later on I might have gone to some other form of ministry, such as chaplaincy, though there are still prayers and memorial services that would have been challenging. But my heart is in parish ministry, and I am pretty much past the point of asking if I should stay or leave.
