Joe, I enjoyed your article and appreciate your honest account of your feelings and experiences. You might find it comforting to know that addressing feelings is becoming more typical in school based speech therapy. Reading your story will directly impact my approach with students who stutter. I hope your son has a positive experience with his therapy. One question: After you stopped your therapy in school, did your teachers ever mention your stuttering to you or to your parents?
