Hi Dawn, Thanks for your comments. It is good to know that speech therapy in school has changed for the better. I'm sure my son will get much more out of his experience then I got out of mine. Good question - I can't remember my elementary school teachers really ever bringing stuttering up, save for maybe once when my 6th grade teacher and I were talking about a school play that our class was doing. He simply encouraged me to do my best and don't let my stuttering get the better of me. Whether or not my teachers discussed it with my parents is unknown to me - my folks never brought it up if they had. I should ask them one of these days. Thanks for the comments, Joe
