I really enjoyed your story, and the "puzzle" concept really appeals to my way of thinking. As a current student in SLP, I am always interested in ideas and concepts that can be applied to treatment. The second concept you spoke of, the idea of seeking to be an effective communicator instead of trying to acheive the impossible goal of being cured, is a wonderful attitude which I will endeavor to share with people as I begin working with PWS. I take it from your story that acceptance was an especially difficult piece of the puzzle to find, or put into place. My studies haven't addressed this issue yet, but do you think that there should be more emphasis placed on acceptance in treatment? Since it seemed to be such a big step for you, couldn't that also be crucial for others who are searching for their pieces?
